My name is Shannon Freas and I’m running to be your next Justice of the Peace for District 6 here in Washington County. I’m a wife and mother with six wonderful children. As a homeschool mom, I try to weave education into our adventures and everyday activities. Professionally, I’ve been involved in transportation logistics and have experience in accounting and business management.

 

Outside of work I served as my Property Owners Association Vice President for two years and then as Treasurer for two years. Alongside my husband, my family has launched our own business buying and flipping houses. I’m proud of having built my own business here in Springdale, but I know how hard life it can be for everyday people.

 

I never planned to get into politics, but after seeing how the Quorum Court has operated over the last few years, I felt called to run. Washington County is growing and needs a Quorum Court that is responsive to the issues of today and to the people that they serve. Currently, the JPs and County Judge are not working for working people.

With my focus on transparency, cooperation, and common sense spending, I hope to see modern solutions to modern issues that help Washington County’s working people.
